About Me

Just a small bit about me. I’ve been performing stand up comedy in NZ since the end of 2008. This has included performing solo shows in 4 NZ International Comedy Festivals and solo shows for the first time in both the Dunedin Fringe Festival & Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2016. I’m about to embark on a return to the festival solo hour game by performing at both the 2025 Melbourne and NZ International Comedy Festivals.

My stand up has been nominated for such NZ Comedy Guild awards as Best Show and Best Gag. This culminated in me winning the award for 2015 NZ Comedy Guild Funniest Twitterer.  The guild members did wise up to what I was doing and I was justifiably a losing nominee for the same award the following 2 years.  That award category then ceased to exist.  Hoping to win an award for my stand up one day, getting runner up in the NZ national Raw Comedy Quest final is the closest I’ve been so far.

TV appearances include most recently being Guy Montgomery’s assistant on two NZ seasons of Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee first broadcast on Three in NZ and then later on ABC in Australia. I have no involvement in the Australian seasons so please don’t ask me about it. Also I was   Guy Williams’ assistant on an episode of New Zealand Today on Three as a tech store assistant on the sitcom Double Parked on Three and a camera assistant on the sitcom Vince on you guessed it, Three.   Being an assistant on shows on Three are my forte. Also had a debut feature film role of the Aide in the Kiwi-Pacific comedy movie Gary of the Pacific. Advertising campaigns have included me being the pizza delivery man in the Hell Pizza Afterlife Pay online video and as a recurring guest on the L&P Live talk show web-series.

I am currently writing again for the popular NZ TV show 7 Days, after a hiatus. Have previously written for its brief spin off version 7 Days of Sport, The Project on Three and occasionally for other TV shows.   By occasionally I mean one-off.
